Michael B. Broadhurst, CFP Born and raised in
Portsmouth,
Virginia, Michael studied education, electrical engineering, music and economics
at Old
Dominion University. For the last 25 years, Michael has practiced financial planning, investment management and
tax preparation in Virginia and North Carolina.
Michael lives in Portsmouth with his wife, Edna. They have one child and two "quickly growing up" grandchildren.
Michael receives the "Rotarian of the Year" award from President Lonny Staylor Louis H. Hibbitts, Jr. A native of Tennessee and graduate of
Virginia
Military Institute with advanced
studies at Vanderbilt University and Washington University in St. Louis. Louis is an experienced
investment analyst and portfolio manager. Louis has worked for and with institutions
and individuals in the field of investing for more than 50 years.
Louis is a Director of the The Portsmouth Community Foundation where he serves on the Investment Committee. Louis is a Director of EDMARC Hospice for Children. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Portsmouth. Louis lives in Portsmouth with his wife, Jeanette. They have two children and 4 "incredible" grandchildren.
Linda L. Torres
Jason Dodzik Jason will be acting in the capacity of Insurance Consultant for clients of Financial Counselors of Virginia. Jason, originally from New Jersey, attended the University of Rhode Island graduating in 1992 with a BS in Sociology and Business Management. Jason has been working in various capacities in the Finance industries for a bit over 10 years. He holds Virginia Life, Health and the Virginia Partnership for Long Term Care Insurance licenses as well as series 6, 63 and 65 securities registrations. Jason is available to consult with you about any of your life, health or long term care needs, He is glad to offer second opinions particularly on older policies. Make sure you have what you need now. Jason lives in Virginia Beach with his wife, Kristen and their two children. Kerry Bierma
After retiring from education, Kerry worked for Jackson-Hewitt Tax Service for 5 years advancing to branch manager before opening his own tax preparation practice in 2005. Kerry prepares personal and business tax returns for numerous clients from all walks of life and he has worked closely with folks opening new businesses. Kerry is available to help you prepare your income tax returns and he will work closely with Michael and Louis in planning your income tax strategies. "Pay as little as is legally possible." Kerry lives in Chesapeake with his wife, Linda; they have 4 children and 6 "wonderful" grandchildren.

comes to us as a retired principal from the Chesapeake school system where
he served for 34 years. Kerry took his BS and MS degrees from East Carolina
University and a Certificate for Advanced Studies from Old Dominion
University.
